Everyone who works here loves independent music and our team also work on numerous side-projects including radio shows, club nights, DJ gigs, podcasts and live performances. We are searching for an experienced Label Manager, preferably based in Berlin. 

!K7 has been offering Artist and Label Services since 2002, providing worldwide campaign management, sales, distribution, and marketing to a range of leading independent labels and artists across multiple genres. 

The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for their roster and act as a source of advice and expertise adding value to their releases and campaigns. The role demands the need to adapt to the role quickly and seamlessly, working independently, conscientiously and with a forward thinking spirit.

Key Tasks:

  • Maintain day-to-day relationships for a varied array of labels and artists 
  • Collaborate with internal departments, from operations, product, sales and marketing to finance and management to ensure all clients’ business needs are met
  • Oversee scheduling of releases, ensuring deadlines are met and all represented sales and marketing needs are managed on a global scale
  • Manage physical production workflows, ensuring all stock requirements and deadlines are met
  • Oversee digital metadata to ensure all releases are delivered to required specifications and within deadline
  • Manage and execute priority release campaign elements from inception through to post-release analysis overseeing and advising on each part of the process throughout
  • Support the physical and digital teams with the necessary tools for selling releases into retail with maximum impact.
  • Constantly inform and educate labels with current and developing best practice methods across all areas of the business 

Role Requirements:

  • Based In Berlin but other locations will be considered 
  • At least 2 years experience as a Label Manager in a Label Services provider, record label, distributor, artist management or other relevant music services company 
  • In-depth knowledge and experience in the creation and eco-system of physical releases and associated deadlines from production through to release date.
  • A strong understanding of metadata and workflows of the digital distribution process
  • Knowledge and relationships with a variety of press and radio companies.
  • High-level organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise to tight deadlines.
  • Awareness of changes and developments of the landscape in the industry.
  • Robust network of contacts and relationships within the independent label sector.
  • The ability to travel as required.

We’re expanding the !K7 Music sync department in North America.

We’re looking for a Creative Sync Licensing Coordinator/ Senior Coordinator (Part-Time) based in the Los Angeles area.

Position Overview: 

Part-Time Creative Sync Licensing Coordinator or Senior Coordinator based in LA to commit to and start at 15-20 hours per week. We represent a growing and conscious global community of independent labels, artists, writers and composers at K7 Music GmbH (!K7, 7K!, Strut Records, DJ-Kicks, AUS, etc.), along with their label distribution, artist management, publishing and composer services. 

The primary function of this part-time position will pursue and facilitate sync licensing and original composition opportunities in film, television, and video games for !K7’s roster of labels, artists, publishing catalog, and management clients. 


• Serve as the point of contact between !K7 and potential tv/film music licensors and supervisors, filmmakers and game producers based in LA and the West Coast.

• Maintain and expand quality relationships with the sync licensing community. 

• Pursue opportunities for custom and original composition !K7 writers and composers.

• Present !K7’s new releases and catalog to clients in an exciting and informative manner. Curate catalog highlights and genre-based playlist samplers.

• Research trends and upcoming productions, utilizing knowledge of catalog to provide custom music options for incoming music searches and briefs.

• Pro-actively maintain knowledge of clients’ music needs and anticipate demand for relevant and upcoming projects.

• Together with sync teams in New York, Berlin and London, help manage music library and metadata to facilitate easy navigation. Assist with marketing projects and annual sync reel.

• Deliver timely fulfillment of client needs in order to meet demanding production schedules.


• Candidates with minimum 3 years music licensing experience at a creative licensing agency, music label, or music publisher are encouraged to apply. 

• General awareness of sync licensing, including terms, budgets, music publishing, public performance rights organizations, etc.

• Passion for independent music. Extensive knowledge of music is ideal.

• Self-motivated. Able to set goals and pursue objectives without a lot of daily oversight. Must work well independently- this role will begin as a Remote/Work From Home position.

• Detail-oriented. Capable of managing important data and deal points.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment across several time zones, with quick turnaround times and multiple priorities at once.
