!K7’s in house label Strut is continuing their ongoing relationship with spiritual jazz and soul label following the release of compilation Soul Love Now: The Black Fire Records Story 1975-1993 last year.

DJ and record producer Jimmy Gray launched Black Fire Records in 1975 with Oneness Of Juju’s African Rhythms albums.
The label went on to release work from artists including jazz saxophonist/flutist Byard Lancaster, Ghanaian percussionist Okyerema Asante, Southern Energy Ensemble, and music/drama troupe Theatre West.
Reissues from Lon Moshe & Southern Freedom Arkestra, Juju, Oneness of Juju and Byard Lancaster are available now on the Strut store with more planned for 2021.
