Matthew Herbert and FOLD Remix Audion

Audion’s album Alpha is a most welcome return from Matthew Dear’s techno alter ego following a decade-long album absence. Hailed as an much-needed injection of fun and authenticity into the genre’s crowded landscape, the album has been steadily blowing up dance floors and headphones since its release in June.

This week, two new remixes have surfaced from an upcoming double-sided single for album tracks “Gut Man Cometh” and “Destroyer.” First up, electronic music legend and longtime !K7 collaborator Matthew Herbert delivers a devastating deconstruction of “Gut Man Cometh,” stripping the track down to its component elements and building it back up again. Next up is “Lean Tape Version” from Aus affiliate FOLD, layering jazzy synth chords on top of the propulsive percussion to give the track some added warmth.

Both remixes are streaming below. The Gut Man Cometh / Destroyer EP is out 22nd July on Beatport. Audion’s Alpha album is available now.
